Stay aware.
Stay safer.

DoseAngel is a harm reduction app that visualizes how your substances overlap over time, so you can plan ahead, avoid dangerous combinations, and never accidentally re-dose.

DoseAngel does not encourage or promote substance use, and nothing in this app is medical advice. It's a safety and planning tool for people who are already making their own informed choices, designed to reduce harm, not increase use. If you choose to use any of these substances, you do so at your own risk: many of them are illegal in many countries, and all of them carry a risk of addiction. If you're concerned about your own or someone else's substance use, please reach out to a medical professional or a local addiction support service.

How DoseAngel works

A quick tour of the core features.

1

Live graph

Every substance you start is modeled as a rise-and-fall curve. The Live screen sums them all in real time, showing exactly what's active in your system right now, and an estimated prediction of what's coming next. It's a forecast based on typical timing, not a guarantee.

2

Plan ahead

Use Plan Mode to lay out the doses you're thinking of taking over the course of a session, and preview the combined curve before starting anything for real. For each entry, choose one of three ways to set its timing: the clock time you'll take it, the clock time you want to peak, or the clock time you want to reach a specific point during the comedown. These are estimates, not exact predictions, since individual response varies. Any plan can also be overlaid on top of the Live graph, so you can compare it against what's actually happening in real time.

3

Check combos

Pick any two of the 18 bundled substances to see documented interaction risk, from mild synergy to dangerous combinations, sourced from TripSit and PsychonautWiki data.

4

Get warned automatically

Starting a substance that interacts with something already active triggers an automatic warning before you confirm, so risky combinations are hard to miss by accident.

5

Know when you're not peaked yet

Starting a second dose of a substance you're already tracking, before the first one has peaked, triggers a warning showing how long until it peaks, so you can make an informed call before you redose.

6

Customize substances

Customize any of the 18 bundled substances to match your own experience. From Settings → Manage (Substances Library), tap Customize on a profile to create your own editable copy with its own onset, peak, and offset timing.

7

Private by design

Everything is stored locally on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no data ever transmitted anywhere.

Settings

What you can configure.

Appearance

Follow your system's light or dark mode automatically, or lock DoseAngel to Light or Dark regardless of your device setting.

Interaction badges

Toggle the warning badges that appear in the substance list when something you're about to add has a known interaction with a substance that's already active.

Warning popups

Toggle the confirmation dialog that appears before you start a substance with a known interaction risk against something already active.

Redose warnings

Toggle the confirmation dialog that appears before you start a type that's already active and hasn't peaked yet.

Plan overlay

Choose how an active plan appears on the Live graph: as simple start-time markers, or as the full predicted curve for each planned substance.

Frequently asked questions

Everything else you might want to know before downloading.

Is DoseAngel promoting or encouraging drug use?
No. DoseAngel is a harm reduction tool built for people who use substances and want to do so more safely. It doesn't advise you to take anything. It helps you understand timing, overlap, and interaction risk for choices you're already making.
Does DoseAngel store or send my data anywhere?
No. DoseAngel works fully offline. Everything you log stays on your device in local storage, nothing is transmitted to a server, and there's no account or sign-in required.
What substances are supported?
DoseAngel ships with 18 bundled profiles covering substances commonly used for recreational purposes, sourced from PsychonautWiki. You can also create a fully custom profile for any substance with your own onset, peak, and offset timing, by going to Settings → Manage (Substances Library) and tapping Customize on an existing profile.
How accurate are the timing curves?
They're averages, sourced from PsychonautWiki (a community-run wiki documenting psychoactive substances) data, so they represent a typical response for a common route of administration. Individual response varies with dose, bodyweight, tolerance, and metabolism. If you know how something affects you specifically, you can customize the curve to match your own experience.
Can I use this for prescription medications?
That's not really what DoseAngel is built for. Managing prescription medication should be done with your physician, and there are dedicated medication-management apps designed for that. DoseAngel is focused on harm reduction for recreational substance use.
Where does the interaction warning data come from?
The interaction database is based on TripSit (a harm reduction community that publishes drug combination and safety data) combination data, covering roughly 35 substance pairs by severity, from dangerous combinations down to low-risk synergies. It only covers the 18 bundled substances; custom types aren't checked against it.
Does DoseAngel warn me if I redose too soon?
Yes. If you start a second dose of a type that's already active and hasn't reached its peak yet, DoseAngel shows a warning with how long until that peak, separate from the interaction warning above and toggleable on its own in Settings. This applies to any type you track, not just the bundled substances.
Is DoseAngel free?
Yes, 100% free, no in-app purchases. DoseAngel is built for harm reduction and the community, not for profit.
